Is being skinny all it's cracked up to be?
Yeah.. it's always worked for me
Reply:What? What is it cracked up to be?
Reply:um i guess it depends...i love the way i naturally am (which is skinny) and it's also f/ ballet...but i tend to have a hard time finding my size (0-1). also, i haven't started my "u know what" (i'm 14) and my doc says i need to gain a lil wait or i won't . but i'm naturally this way so...

but other than that i'm perfectly happy w/ mee
Reply:yeah it is
Reply:yea but sometimes too skinny is ugly..so find a balance
Reply:No, it's really not. most people think it's irritating to be called fat, but being skinny i constantly have to hear about being anorexic (which i'm not and have never been) or why i'm not the same size as everybody else, or why i choose to eat how much i feel like instead of eating a huge plate of food in one sitting i eat a little every two hours. I get colder easier, and what i hate the most is how people envy me and say things like "you wouldn't understand, you're not fat like me" i hate having to reassure people that they aren't fat when i'm alone being skinny
Reply:I'm naturally very skinny, and although I get teased sometimes for being so tiny I like it. I can eat what I like and not have to worry about gaining weight, and I don't work out at the gym. Of course I'm not all that healthy so being thin isn't a measure of your health. So I'd say no, it's not all it's cracked up to be, but I wouldn't want to be much heavier than I am. A woman can be beautiful and be overweight but... it's really not very attractive, in my opinion.
Reply:yeah i really like being skinny
Reply:skinny is cracked up to be something?

i eat what i want i workout i live my life and i'm skinny.. a fat person can do the same thing

just because someone is skinny doesn't mean he or she has a good life. someone skinny can have a really sh***y life; same way someone fat can. aahahha body sizes really have to stop becoming so political..

how about just being HEALTHY

we really do complicate our livesss
Reply:It can be good OR bad. It can be good by being healthy (if you're thin in a HEALTHY way, i.e., you actually eat) and looking good. But it can be bad when people are jealous of you and bad-mouth you, or they accuse you of being anorexic. So it be good or bad.
Reply:if you have to deprive yourself for years to get it and you've been curvy since childhood...no.
Reply:You have to have really good peace with your body. Most people think that because your skinny you can splurge a little with an extra scoop of ice cream or not have to exercise. I'm working on being perfectly fine with my body as long as it's healthy, but you still worry about calories and gaining weight and all that crap. The only time I don't have to worry is during softball season, because I'm the JV and Varsity catcher, so I play 12 innings a night, and our softball program hasn't gotten very far yet (it's still new), so we play long hard innings in the 90 degree humid Missouri weather. That usually burns enough calories in a day to last me a month. I look like an anorexic freak. Don't get me wrong, I feel good from having that exercise, but it's exhausting and difficult, and most definatley affected me mentally. (Lucky this year we'll have a JV catcher and our pitching will have improved, so it won't be as tiresome on me.)

And think the most important thing is being at a healthy weight and doing things to keep your body healthy, while loving your body for all that it has to offer (from curves to long legs), is what is the perfect balance. Being an anorexic freak isn't always the answer. It takes a terrible mental toll on you.
