How do I become an interior designer?
Schooling is the most helpful and it can be expensive say 20 k to 25 k per year. You can get financial aid but only about half that amount. There are big design schools in the very large citites. It is also possible to do an apprenticeship with a firm. You would be learning by watching and doing. Unlike law or medicaine you can break in that way. If you have chutzpa you can start getting your own clients soon. I would check for testing and licensing in your area. Some cities, say Los Angeles you would need to pass a rigorous test. They have two really prestigious design schools near downtown LA.
